“Disorder” – Columbia

Having released their debut album ”Embrace The Chaos” earlier this year, welsh indie-rockers Columbia are back already with a brand new release. “Disorder” has a different sound to their previous work and is the first single written by lead guitarist Ben Rowlands. With swirling, driving guitars reminiscent of The Cure’s ”Pornography” era crossed with the impassioned vocals of early Kasabian, “Disorder” is a gritty, powerful song that rises from the darkness of the underground, grabs you by the scruff of the neck and refuses to let go.

Columbia is comprised of frontman and rhythm guitarist Craig Lewis, Ben Rowlands (lead guitarist), Chris Webber (drums) and Aron ‘Sten’ Stennings, (bass), and if the constant friendly banter between them is any indication, this band could rival the Beatles for witty humour and a close-knit bond that is easily transitioned into a cohesiveness in their onstage performance which quickly sets them apart from other up and coming independent alternative rock bands. They released their debut album ”Embrace The Chaos” in March 2022.

Disorder’ marks a new musical direction for Columbia, who are set to embark on their biggest festival performance to date next month at Shiiine On Weekender on November 12th, sharing the Minehead Arena with greats The Happy Mondays, Tim Burgess, Teenage Fanclub, Ash, and many more.
