New EP – “Somebody, Somewhere” – The Avelles

Rising UK indie band The Avelles have just released their debut EP Somebody, Somewhere. Featuring recent singles “10:45”, “Thing For Leaving” and “Felicity” as well a brand new track, “Honestly”, the tracks showcase the band’s songwriting abilities and knack for a catchy chorus that have gained them a groundswell of support, notably from Jim Salvanos at XS Manchester and some stellar support slots with The Lilacs and Trampolene on their recent UK headline tours.

Formed in Leeds at the same school as the Kaiser Chiefs, The Avelles offer a fresh and exciting sound among the bands in the up and coming indie scene in the UK, having quickly caught the attention of promoters This Feeling and secured several notable support slots with the likes of The Illicits and The Lilacs. The band comprises Joe Preistley on lead vocals / rhythm,  Charlie Miller, backing vocals and rhythm guitar, Ethan Shaw on lead guitar and keys, Patrick Doherty on drums, and Will Priestley on bass.
The Avelles have gained a rapidly growing following after sharing covers and original material online, having since played to packed-out venues across Leeds such as The Lending Rooms where they supported The Illicits, and at Oporto supporting Make Friends. The band are due to make their Ynot Festival debut this summer, with a coveted place on bill on The Allotment stage with thanks to promoters This Feeling, after the band were voted in by their fans, who are already clamouring for the band to release a debut album.
