The 1975’s new single “People”

The day before they’re set to take the main stage at Reading & Leeds Festival, The 1975 have released a single from their next album. “People” will be the second song on “Notes on a Conditional Form” set to be released February 21st, 2020. This new song feels louder, harder and angrier than songs from their past albums and is almost the complete opposite of the first single from the album. So far it seems the album will be making points about how we need to fix the world. In “the 1975” Climate Activist, Greta Thunberg, is giving a speech about climate change and telling the listener how we need to fix things. This idea of trying to get the listener to notice today’s problems in society and change them continues in “People” with lead singer Matty Healy shouting at everyone to “Wake up, wake up, wake up” and see what’s going on.

“People” by The 1975 is available on all streaming services. Along with a music video, the band has also created an Instagram filter for the song which you can find via our Instagram story.
