Lost Somebody Else – Gabrielle Grace
After the release of her debut EP, “We’ll Be Alright,” in spring of last year, Gabrielle Grace is back with her newest single ‘Lost Somebody Else.’ Available across all streaming services May 26th, the mellow yet dancey tune feels like a great start to the summer. With a soft first verse accompanied by a calming guitar rhythm, you think you know where the song is going until the chorus crashes in with synth and drums. The lyrics of loss and starting over contrast the up-beat tempo as Grace describes the single as “an 80’s inspired indie alt/pop track that has sad lyrics but also makes you want to bop your head all at the same time.”
Born and raised in southeast Texas, Gabrielle Grace has been forming her indie/pop-folk/acoustic sound since she first hit the music scene. Now based in Nashville, Tennessee, the singer-songwriter has continued to grow and make a name for herself with the release of her debut album “This Beautiful Life” in 2019 and her recent EP “We’ll Be Alright” in March, 2021. Inspired by Kacey Musgraves, Fleetwood Mac, Phoebe Bridgers and more, Grace works to tell authentic and honest stories through her music in a “catchy, but not forceful way.”
