New Single – “ROT” – Flower Factory
London-based industrial punk rockers Flower Factory recently released their powerful debut single “ROT”. The duo of Taylor Booth and Rhys Gazeres have been building a growing live reputation, with support slots alongside Mouth Culture, Neversaid and The Flitz, and this track is the first chapter in the wider Flower Factory universe.
“ROT” is a depiction of how I felt when I was at my lowest during my four years of being chronically ill, and the feeling of falling into nothingness whilst life moves on around you with a mechanical sense of urgency
Taylor Booth
The raucous track holds a deeply personal exploration of chronic illness and the exhausting pressure to keep pace with a world that never stops moving. Over some hard-hitting guitar riffs, you can really feel Taylor’s desperation as she sings “I’m rotting away, I’m rotting away…..another day, spent here in this haze”.
The band have also released a video to accompany the single which perfectly captures the song’s lyrics.
You can catch Flower Factory at The Cavendish Arms in London and hear a live rendition of “Ron Friday 11th September. Tickets are available here.
