Honey Pie – Mega Happy

Tomorrow (Friday 5th March) sees the release of the new single from UK duo Mega Happy. Released on Mönch Records, “Honey Pie is four minutes of guitar-driven catchy indie-pop and a taster of their forthcoming EP,

“I wrote Honey Pie quite a while ago and it really contrasted with our other previous music sonically so we really wanted to really push that to an extreme and take advantage of the studio to layer the track and make it as big as possible. We are really proud of it as it still sounds very us but has a lot of  different parts that we love” Patrick Foster – Mega Happy

The band recently released a video to accompany the release of “Honey Pie”

In the spring of 2020 Mega Happy started work on their forthcoming E.P striking a depth of maturity with a cohesive sound that many artists who are albums deep into their discography only flirt with. From those sessions came their latest single ‘Honey Pie’ offering up a bittersweet slice of melancholia-dripped guitar pop.
As well as firmly making their presence known in the local Leeds circuits and with a string of shows across the north, the four-piece have ventured south, engaging audiences in both Sheffield and Nottingham most notably performing a sold out show with ‘Blondes’ at Rough Trade in Nottingham.
