Over and Out – Shadow Bones

With his debut album due out later this year, singer-songwriter Shadow Bones has just released his second single. Continuing on from the success of ‘Better View’, ‘Over and Out’ is an indie-americana song about one partner not wanting to face when a relationship ends. The poignant lyrics remind us of the way life makes us accept that some things need to end before we can find the happiness we seek but they are set against an upbeat tune that warms the soul.

In a 20-year long career as a songwriter in touring bands, Luke Williams has turned some serious industry heads, including consistent support from BBC Introducing and mentions in the likes of CLASH. The pandemic brought major change, and saw the birth of Shadow Bones – his first solo project. Having played to audiences of 30,000 and finding international success, the lockdowns gave an opportunity to reflect on his past accomplishments and former rock star lifestyle as he confronted his demons.

Check out ‘Over and Out’ below:

Luke says of the new track –

“Writing songs in lockdown was cathartic, a means of therapy. It transported me back to a dark period of time I had left behind in the years of recovering when I was battling my demons. Being in lockdown gave me that time to reflect on life, what’s been, appreciate what you do have and what you don’t. ‘Over and Out’ is about being able to accept the reality of relationships ending and being able to move on with life to find new happiness”

Shadow Bones is the solo project of accomplished singer-songwriter and guitarist Luke Williams, who in a 20+ year career as a touring musician with the band Elmor achieved international recognition for his timeless songwriting and unique lyrics and style.
