New Single: “No Occupation” – Billy Hunt and The Modern Classix
Having released three singles as a solo artist in 2022, Billy Hunt is back with a new band, The Modern Classix, and a new single “No Occupation” on Thru-Tone Records. Released on January 28th, Billy’s lyrics champion social nonconformity over a classic rock and roll sound. With more music on the horizon in 2023, this is a great introduction to a band that are on the rise.
After releasing three singles as a solo artist last year with the help and guidance of record label Good Deeds Music, Billy Hunt’s music received radio support on stations up and down England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, closely followed by interest from music industry professionals, Billy has since gone on to spend 3 months constantly gigging in venues throughout Liverpool and playing festivals and clubs all over Suffolk, where he currently runs 4 open mic nights a month.
Hunt has also previously ventured into the London music scene for up and coming acts, appearing at well known venues such as the Half Moon in Putney and the iconic Fiddlers Elbow in Camden. In a career highlight, Billy supported the current band-of-the-moment, top punk outfit The Gulps, managed by Alan McGee, at one of his live music events, Death Disco, held in April 2022. With more new music to come during 2023, Billy has launched into the year with an explosive rock ‘n’ roll anthem that will see The Modern Classix that offers just a taste of what’s still to come from this promising new act.
The new single was released on 28th January on Apple iTunes and Amazon Music.
