Fresh Double A-side: Two New Singles from BIZZY
Indie-pop star BIZZY is on the rise to stardom and shows no sign of stopping as she has released a 2-pack of juxtaposing singles. The release features the electric anthem “Out Loud” and the more vulnerable “I’d Never Tell You.”
The beginning of “Out Loud” immediately makes me think of the similar dreamy start featured in Olivia Rodrigo’s “deja vu,” however when BIZZY’s vocals and the guitar join in, they add a lot more strength to the track. The whole song build as each new instrument and beat is added, emulating the idea of how her feelings have been building for a person for years. As the chorus comes through, you would expect it to be louder but BIZZY contrast her point about saying it ‘out loud’ by having her vocals slightly muffled and at times almost hidden behind the guitar.

“I’d Never Tell You” features a chorus that is sure to be stuck in your head after just one listen. With a more vulnerable message about putting up walls and never sharing how you really feel with someone who left you heart-broken, BIZZY doesn’t let the power behind her vocals waver. Her breathy vocals float atop the driving indie pop production, as she shares what it feels like to give someone your whole heart and watch them walk away.
At the beginning of this month, BIZZY announced she will be joining Frenship on their Base Camp Tour across the US. She will join the band at the beginning of the tour in Carrboro, NC. on Oct. 5 and they will part ways after their performances in St. Paul, MN. on Oct. 29.
