New EP – “Weekend Millionaire” – The Clause

After a busy summer of touring, UK indie band The Clause are back with Weekend Millionaire, a new 5-track EP packed with their trademark anthemic choruses and memorable riffs. After the success of 2023 debut EP Pop Culture, the quartet return with a new collection that takes inspiration from mid 2000s indie music.

The EP leads off with the fantastic title track with its huge chorus full of “Ooh aahs” and follows with “Fever Dreams” that are built for crowds to sing at stadiums. Lead single “Take Me Home” is all dirty guitar riffs and pounding drums that sounds like it could be from the first album by The Enemy. Closer “Never Ending Affair” shows a softer side to the band with acoustic guitars and a wonderful vocal. The record is certain to enhance their growing reputation and sets them up nicely for a debut album release.

Expanding further on new EP, the band added: “It’s a battle cry to shake that sinking feeling of falling behind for all those who feel like their life is stuck in reverse. Life events and experiences of euphoria, romance & heartbreak whilst growing up in our hometown, Birmingham, conceive five songs that call to all adolescents and post-teens trying to find their feet in the world. It is an endorsement to cast aside your worries and live in the moment. We retreated to the rural outskirts of Birmingham, locked ourselves in VADA Studios and embarked on what was undoubtedly the most inspiring recording session we’ve experienced as a band alongside our producer, Matt Terry.”
“This EP is laced with an immeasurable amount of sweat and tears we poured into its writing and production, we’ve created what we believe is our best collection of music yet. ‘Weekend Millionaire’ is the final step in our musical development and it perfectly tees up the release of our debut album which will succeed this EP.”

The Clause are Pearce Macca (Frontman), Liam Deakin (guitar), Jonny Fyffe (bass) and Niall Fennell (drums).
