New EP – “Early Days” – Sam Millne & The Virants
Having made a name from himself on the Merseyside music scene, Sam Millne is now releasing a debut EP, Early Days, with his band The Virants. Formed in late 2023, Sam was joined by university coursemate Max Conyers (drums) to form a backing band to perform his songs. This was then expanded with the addition of Frankie Conyers (bass) and Alex Jones (lead guitar) joining shortly afterwards.
Early Days feels like the culmination of the group’s beginnings.
The range in themes from the songs hopefully showcases a sign of what is to come on our journey, with big plans for 2026.
The best thing about our music is that our fans sing the songs with us. They help create the atmosphere and community that make our live shows so memorable.Sam Millne
With catchy riffs and memorable melodies, the band bring something for everyone to their shows where the audience know the songs by heart, whether they’re fans of cheesy pop or indie rock.
The EP kicks off with “Carolyn”, a highlight from their live shows, before launching into previous singles “Annie”, “Pocket Rocket” and “Out My Head”. The final song and EP highlight is “Not Enough”; a letter of anger at the number of people living in poverty while the rich get richer.
