On This Day…2011

Of Monsters and Men released their debut album “My Head Is An Animal” on 20th September 2011 in their native Iceland. Following its success in their home country, the band signed with Universal and a worldwide release followed in 2012. The band’s indie folk/pop sound with huge catchy choruses was perfect for a time when bands such as Mumford and Sons and The Head and The Heart were also finding success.
Four singles were released from the album. “Little Talks” came first and it was the success of this song which launched them globally.
