On This Day…1997

The Sundays released “Static & Silence” on September 22nd 1997. The band’s third and final album, it was released to mixed reviews although reached number 10 in the UK Album Charts.
Lead single “Summertime” was their most successful single reaching Number 15 in the UK and also received a lot of radio play in the US.
The band then went on hiatus as Harriet Wheeler and David Gavurin deciding to spend time raising their two children. Despite rumors of a possible comeback in 2014, there has not been any new music from the band since this album.
