On This Day… 2006

My Chemical Romance released their third American rock studio album “The Black Parade” on October 23rd, 2006. This album has been described as a rock opera which is quite different from what they had done before but was received by listeners and critics very well. It placed 32nd on Q magazine’s list of the best songs that year. Listening to the songs you follow “The Patient” through his apparent death from cancer, experiences in the afterlife, and subsequent reflections on his life.
