New Single – “Is It Too Soon to Tell You I Love You” – KATANES

Hailing from Caithness in the most northern part of mainland Scotland, indie quartet KATANES have returned with an epic new single. “Is It Too Soon to Tell You I Love You”, the band’s third release, is an atmospheric anthem which reflects the hesitation and vulnerability behind saying something that might change everything. Built around a memorable guitar riff, the track builds to a soaring chorus with singer Adam’s heartfelt plea “You’re the reason I want to stay alive”.

KATANES are made up of Adam Wares (vocals), Derry Shearer (guitar), Robbie Gunn (drums), and James Anderson (bass).

Following previous BBC Introducing radio support for their earlier release “The Meadows”, KATANES continue to build momentum with a run of new music scheduled throughout the year. This single marks the first of three upcoming releases, showcasing a more refined and confident direction while staying true to the band’s understated, emotive style.

Drawing comparisons to artists such as Snow Patrol, The Killers, Twin Atlantic and The 1975 for this track, KATANES blend indie rock and alternative influences with a focus on melody, space and feeling — creating music that resonates in quieter, more reflective moments.
